Ahmed Beshary (Chico) is a young Director of Photography (DOP), whose exceptional talent and professionalism propelled his career in a short span of time, becoming one of the youngest directors of photography in the Arab world. He collaborated with a plethora of salient filmmakers and DOPs from different generations in works that have been to several international festivals. His most recent works include Paranormal, Netflix's first foray into Egyptian drama.

During his studies at the High Cinema Institute, he worked as a cameraman in several remarkable works. He worked as a cameraman and first assistant cameraman in several works, however his golden opportunity was through his collaboration with DOP Nancy Abdelfattah that extended to a number of TV hits: Ahl Cairo TV, Zat, and Segn El Nesa. At the age of 25, he landed his debut as a DOP in the TV serial drama Ana Eshekt by director Mariam Ahmady.

Known for his passion for knowledge and education, Chico attends several workshops and courses the world over all year round across Los Angeles, Rome, Amsterdam, and Nice, to acquire new cinematography skills; such as camera movement, coloring, hidden figures lighting techniques, lighting, steadicam operating, and filmmaking. This added up to his talent, and soon landed him in the DOP seat of several high-profile works, including, Sheikh Jackson that world premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, and was Egypt's official submission to the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film Category. His repertoire also includes Mawlana by director Magdy Ahmed that won the Circle Award at the Washington, D.C. Film Festival, and Men Dahr Ragel by director Kareem El Sobky that was an official selection at Cairo International Film Festival.

In addition, Chico has under his belt more than 200 TV commercials in collaboration with several high-profile brands in Egypt and abroad, including: Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, Samsung, and BMW.

His latest work includes Netflix's Paranormal by director Amr Salama, Barra El Manhag film by Amr Salama and Amar 14 film by director Hadi El Bagoury.
